OUR ORGANISATION
RNZ was formed in 1974 to promote and organise Rallying in New Zealand – successfully running the WRC for 36 years and the APRC for 32 years.
RNZ has now grown to become the official promoter and organiser of the New Zealand Rally Championship (NZRC), and also organises several other Rally events including the International Rally of Whangarei, Rally Bay of Plenty, and the Battle of Jack’s Ridge.
When applicable, RNZ are also responsible for the promotion and organisation of the New Zealand round of the World Rally Championship.

OUR VOLUNTEERS
Our RNZC volunteer group consists of incredible individuals from across NZ, whose dedication is key to the success of our events. We simply couldn’t go Rallying without their incredible support.
From administration, documentation, scrutineering, block marshalling, Rally Control, timekeeping, Service Park and Safety, there really is a role to suit everyone within the Rally NZ Club.
Plus you don’t need any special skills to get involved, with full training provided. All we ask is that you’re reliable, have a degree of common sense and wear a smile.
RNZC also share our volunteers across events hosted by other motorsport clubs, so there’s always something on to keep you busy.
PARTNERSHIPS
With each leg of the NZ Rally Championship hosted by local car clubs, we as a volunteer body are there to provide extra manpower and support as and when needed. We also provide organisational support if required, with many of our volunteers belonging to more than one car club.
The Rally NZ Club takes pride in working closely with the NZRC – and enjoys providing our volunteers the opportunity to travel across the country to various motorsport events, getting to do what they love in new and exciting environments.
We are also the first point of call for large-scale international events, including the International Rally of Whangarei and the World Rally Championship.
The Rally New Zealand Club are proud partners of The Motorsport Club – another Motorsport community providing volunteer opportunities for Track Racing events.
Through our partnership RNZC & TMC encourage volunteers to experience all types of motorsport, inviting everyone to get stuck in at events.
Generally, the Racing season spans the Summer months and doesn’t cross-over with the Rally season too much, making it the perfect opportunity to keep fuelling your passion for motorsport during the quieter Rally months.
